Where your horse's optimal hoof is my top priority
Whether your horse is a performance horse or a backyard pony, a balanced trim will help them move freely and comfortably. |
As an experienced equestrian my interest in hoof pathology began by understanding how hoof anatomy related to horses' movement. I began an apprenticeship with a professional barefoot trimmer and took clinics through Pacific Hoofcare Practitioners (PHCP), gaining experience with several hoof experts in the field (see qualifications in 'about' tab).

Understanding Your Horse's HoofThe life of a domestic horse leads to a hoof that is at the mercy of diet, movement, and environment. Much like you may need to see a chiropractor from desk-induced back strain or a nutritionist from digestive pain: your horse's hooves can also be prone to certain ailments depending on their genetics and their lifestyle. As a hoof care practitioner not only do I encourage a consistent trim schedule so that your horse can move properly but I also make a point to communicate the condition that the horse's hooves are in and what they may be prone to so that your horse's feet will continually improve.
